Peter's Thread Snake (Leptotyphlops scutifrons). One of my favorite finds in Mozambique, this 3-4 inch, spaghetti-thin, usually-subterranean reptile feeds on ant or termite larvae. These snakes are nearly blind; their eyes are covered by protective scales and probably at most can perceive light and dark.
