This amazing leaf mimic even seems to have holes in it like a rotting leaf -- but actually, the front "holes" are transparent but solid windows, and the rear hole is just a gap formed by the curl of the abdomen meeting the wing. (Malaysian Borneo)
One of the biggest insects I've seen, and certainly the biggest beetle. This is a male (told his large head ornamentation). They look fierce, but are harmless, other than having sharp claws on the ends of their legs for holding on to trees (Malaysian Borneo).
