Pale swallowtails (Papilio eurymedon) puddling for minerals, Montana

Giant Shield Bug (Tessaratomidae) with eggs. These insects, which are like large stink bugs, are brightly colored to advertise that they're not good to eat. They can spray caustic chemicals which can blister your skin. They also exhibit egg-guarding, as seen here, and parental care (Malaysian Borneo).

Dragonfly sp. -- I am not certain, but I think this is a female crimson marsh glider, aka crimson dropwing (Trithemis aurora). "Crimson" refers to the males' pink-red coloration (Malaysian Borneo).
